quick update on campground: we will meet at the pavillion just past the one that we used last night (up the right fork in the road)... no fire ring at the back one... and we will have to move a couple tables, the locals have raided that tables at the pavillions... i'm starting the fire, it will probably be the only one in the campground...

Thank you one and all for a wonderful time. When I was a child in Sunday school there was a rhyme, starting with both hands clasped, that went, "Here is the church" - the two index fingers were raised in a point, "Here is the steeple", the thumbs were moved apart, "Open the doors", the hands are folded backward allowing the interlocked fingers to stand up, and the rhyme finishes with, "see all the people."

The R3 Owners Dot Net site is like that. Yes there are posts here - thousands - and when circumstances permit -- oh the joy -- the people, the wonderful people.

We were exposed to the local color: quaint one street town of Mt Airy, NC, hilly terrain topped by the Blue Ridge Parkway, sun and mist, Hanging Rock State Park, local cuisine.

And we ran into the other Triumph group and we FAR outnumbered Harleys . . . amazing.

Mutual support was in full force from local knowledge, to parking lot repair session with @BillB and @Speedy to get @Boog running, to @teraeric providing blocking action for us to exit parking and helping me turn around on a gravel road, @UKAlumni93 and son Mike being local guides.

I'm energized !

Thank y'all ! :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:

Everyone else . . . you must get out there when you can, "Wherever two or more of you are gathered . . ."
