What are you looking for from it?
Do you know if this will work with the '14 R3R?

It should as you download the tune you want from tuneboy. Its basically a generic system that once you download the install program you send tuneboy your ecu serial # in an email and specify what you added or changed on your bike. They will email you the correct tune to install thru your computer into the ecu.
Their website also has specific tunes to download but send them your ecu # to make sure it is the precise one.
It was $362 us dollars new. I'll let it go for $285 usd plus shipping from USA in zip code 70723

Did that $362 include the serial number for your bike? Those serial number unlocks are expensive. That, and the fact that they never responded to my emails and service requests are some of the reasons that I no longer use their product and have a TuneBoy cable hanging from my wall.

When you download the program on your laptop, then plug into the obds 2 port. You can pull up your ecu serial # and brand and that is what you email to tuneboy.
The unit itself is not specific to what you ug into it. However the map that tuneboy emails you is Specific to your ecu serial#
That way it is for your ecu only.
By sending them the ser # they make certain to send you a map for that ecu.

Exactly. They send you a code for your serial number - which is expensive - and once you have that then you can load any appropriate TuneBoy tune you want. If you want to put a tune into another bike then you have to send them the serial number for that bike - and a lot of money - and then they will send you the code for that bike as well. Each bike costs money if you use TuneBoy.

When you buy the tuneboy
You get 1 code that you use when you request it.
After the initial use, (the first download) emailing them the ecu # and what mods you made to the bike.
At a later date if you need another map code for your bike or anyother bike. Then its about $150 extra.
BUT..... When you first purchase the Tuneboy Kit-- you get the kit (i got the wifi edition) and 1 map code. You choose the map code when you want to...
Your thoughts of how tuneboy works is wrong. Or i should say, the one i bought is as how i say it is.
I know what i bought and never used is all.
If your interested, cool
If not thats cool also.
Please check into it deeper though as far as buying additional maps.
As the first map, is included in the initial price of the unit/kit.

In that case it has changed since I bought mine, as I can load as many tunes into my bike as I want - at no extra cost. If they are charging $150 for each tune that you load then why would you get it? You can do that for nothing with TuneECU.

I am not trying to have a go at you, just making sure that whoever buys it either doesn't have to spend another $150 for an un-lock code, or knows that they will have to.

Everything that Ian (IDK) is saying is true that is how my Tuneboy operates but I have had mine for near on ten years now so things might have changed, but check into it before buying or it could be an expensive buy.

Tune boy Advanced Wifi is what i have.....
Our WiFi Kit suits most of the motorcycles that we support. Coupled with the correct software you will be able to modify and flash maps into your bike. The Kit is supplied with a tune editor to allow in depth modification to the bikes maps*. It is removed once tuning/flashing has been done, leaving nothing on your motorcycle. This Kit contains 1 x TuneEdit Key (software key), WiFi/USB device, USB cable, software for your brand of motorcycle, and adapter for your ECU (as required).
Just fyi only
