Breakaway Cruise Control

Anyone tried installing one yet?
One of the first things I did! I had one on a bike 25 years ago and loved it. this ones even more refined.

The only hassle installing is to remove that moulded hump, or fairing if you will, on the inside of the grip? I wanted it up snug to the switch/brake actuator assembly for looks, more space on the throttle, and it makes the outrigger to the assembly more stable. The hardest part was getting the blasted grip off.
&*^%&%$%$#% but once you get it off you can trim the hump off with a razor blade and then finish it up with a Dremel tool.

I wouldn't ride distances without it.

I'm not at the bike right now, but if you go for it and need better shots or help let me know. I think a shot from underneath would be really helpful to see how the out rigger assembly is rigged. I put it on in a couple of hours, adjusted it, and I haven't done a thing to it since. It has worked flawlessly for 7000 miles from 30 degrees to 100 degrees OAT without any further adjustment! Highly recommend it!

Hmm...now I'm really confused because when I called them last year they said their unit wouldn't fit a '15 roadster.

That answered that question. Do they make replacement grips to slide back over when you take that one off?

Guys, cutting the hump off is not that difficult at all,it's getting the grip off and you'd have to do that if they had a replacement anyway?

That being said, there are some tricks to getting any grip off of any handle bar. Like using a very small diameter wire to insert along one side to break the suction and get a little soapy water in that space. They're never gonna just pull off, especially on the throttle!;)

It does fit, but they're assuming you'll put it on outside of that moulded hump. I chose to do it my way because I didn't want to lose 3/8 of an inch width on the throttle grip. I have pretty big hands. Oh boy, that will probably open things up?:banghead:
