Want to Buy exhausts... whats out there?

WOW....that is 25 percent of what I paid for my bike (6k). Sure it is TOP Quality but (putting nomex on) for the amount of materials vs a car performance exhaust it amazes me how expensive exhausts are for R3's especially the Zards...

My 2013 Infititi M37 cost me 60000 dollars and I can get a 304 SS catback complete for a grand......
And that obviously includes mufflers. There is a huge disparity between Bike exhaust and Car exhaust prices.....

Not sure how many R3 Classics were made between 05 and 2012 but some one out there ought to be able to fab up a header back slip on for 700 USD...The material cost is not that high and they can be made on a pre order basis. D and D dropped out supposedly due to a lack of demand by buyers-so they say. Just amazing that you have to spend insane money on a Zard or Remus to get a non tors option to the oems...

Has anyone figured a way to punch out the baffles on the OEM.....? Not sure why spending 2000 -4000 dollars doing and intake to exhaust mod on a used 7 to 9 thousand dollar bikes makes financial sense.

I am speaking for in the USA fabricators as shipping is bad enough in the USA.

Just saying......
Still looking.....

More HP at high RPM? Great for turning very high RPM HP. Don't they loose low and mid range torque due too less scavenging ability for our engines?
YOU will make 165 + HP and 165 TRQ on a stock engine and stock rev limit all the mid range TRQ you can handle this is 2300CC remember

Hi guys,

In the meantime of saving for ces exhaust system i am looking for either a full system or slip ons for a reasonable price. Feel free to pm me if you have anything i own a 2014 r3r
I have a factory set of pipes with 117 miles of use & I have a Jardine set of pipes with 236 mile of use. Both sets mint condition.

Just put Carpenter Sidewinders on my 2012 r3r. Luv them, had it dyno'd. On the ground 146hp and 145.5 torque. Plus a good sound

The Mummy Returns with loose bandages - aren't they all supposed to overlap neatly. I read somewhere recently that wrapping exhausts and headers shortens their life considerably due to excess heat. As I said 'just read' and am no expert but I would be reluctant to risk it on such an expensive high quality system. Carpenter may say it increases output but that would be for drag race or dyno competition purposes surely?

It may shorten the life a tad, not certain on that. It gets very hot on my leg, without the wrap I'd hate to guess the heat coming out. Wrapping is easy, wrapping each one with minimal tolerance between each pipe is not easy at all. From the manifold to collector was the hardest, only about 2 hrs to get it pushed and tweeked in.
