2014 Rocket III Roadster
Hi Everyone,

Today I was pleased to take delivery of this:

It may be a while before I can ride it, because the view out the window looks like this:

I've been lurking on the forum for a while, thoroughly enjoying learning about the Rocket. I bought mine on CycleTrader from a dealer in California. It's a 2014 with only 226 miles on the odometer. I've ridden it about 100 yards, from where the trucker unloaded it on the street between the snowbanks, up my driveway and into the garage. For the next couple of months I'll have to be content with sitting on it in the garage and making 'vroom-vroom' noises.

I was born in Wales, grew up in England, moved to Canada, now live in Utah. I own two other Triumphs (1998 TBS, 2012 Tiger 800 Roadie). The R3R is my 'life's too short to not try it' experiment for the next couple of years. My first street-legal bike in 1970s England was a Yamaha FS1E moped, which had 1/46th the displacement of the Rocket :)

Despite the username, I'm not actually called Bob. I just like the phrase.

Last May I enjoyed a two week visit in and around Christchurch. Driving the rental car up the coast to Kaikoura and across to Hanmer Springs made me wish for a bike trip to NZ in December or January - I'm jealous!

A ride we do is Christchurch to Culverden to Waiau thru the leader valley left onto State Highway 1 to Kaikoura, lunch and fuel back onto SH1 to ChCh...takes most of the day...Nice!
