Rocket Roadster vs Honda Valkyrie 2014

Whenever I see someone say or write that a Rocket doesn't handle I just know they either haven't ridden one enough, or simply can't ride very well. It's really just a cop out anyway, and a convenient comment to put in an article when you have nothing original to say.
The Valkyrie is just as stupid looking as the F6B, IMO.

I haven't ridden either the F6B or C but I do like the idea of having the new bikes. The F6B doesn't work for my taste looking at it from behind. I would like Honda to redesign the bags so they don't look so scooterish. The F6C feels good sitting on it and feel like it will be good in the corners. wonder what Carpenter make up for its less than desirable punch others have mentioned.

Thing about all these comparisons is there is very rarely a winner. Always the usual this and that could be better , bigger , lighter , smaller .. blah blah blah. Just page fillers for bike mags .. for those of us that don't have an iPad to load an app onto that is .. hahahahahahhahhaha

Can you still get a new Rocket for $14,999? I don't think you can get a Valkyrie for that so it is kind of a pointless comparison.

Seems like that was the sticker before the ad ons on a '14 R3R I saw last week.

My dealer currently has both a new R3R and a R3T.

Like comparing a Bugatti to a Yugo!

Must respectfully disagree. We test rode the new Valk a big ago. The thing is formidable. It cannot out run the Beast, but what can? Making (a claimed) 118 bhp, the Valk will outrun all else; and is not even in the same galaxy as the V Twins. It is smoooooooooth and has excellent breaks. Little doubt that the reliability will be there as well. It is a bit strange looking to us, but a ride on it made it look much better. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Not ready to part with our '11 Roadster, but we consider the Valk a terrific cruiser.

We trudge on (favorably impressed).

Well my Box has arrived ...... so I can make my own comparison now with my 2014 Roadster
