How do you park your Bike

Tony, you really should get some blocks, preferably dyna bolted to the floor, so the car wheels can't go any further than you want them too. No need for judgement then. Just measure the distance you need and she can do what women are best at - parking by feel.

Bit of 40mm angle iron .. 3x2 hardwood .. I'd be putting a 'deterrent' in place that's for sure.

I usually put the kick stand down first. If I am parking on a down or up hill, I always park it in gear to prevent it from rolling away.

This is how mine gets parked at home.
A tight squeeze.
She hasn't hit it YET!!!!!

Sweet Baby Jesus!!!

With the winds being very strong on any given day here in eastern New Mexico, you have to be very careful parking a bike. A "calm day" is usually around 15-20mph winds. I've learned a good safe way to park, after knowing more then a few co-workers that have had thier bikes blow over.

What you do is after you pull into a spot or back your bike against the curb; turn off your bike, handle bars to the left, then slowly lean the bike left till its resting safely on the crash bars (if equipped) or exhaust and handlebars. This will ensure that your bike will be parked in such a way that it cannot be blown over. Mounting the bike, especially a 900lb beast is easy. Simply walk into a dealer and buy a new one, these things are freaking heavy, no sense throwing your back out picking one up.

Consequently New Mexico is littered with touring bikes left on thier sides but that's a DOT problem, not mine.

That be grounds for divorce in the making, should the worst imaginable occur.

May the force be with you Mittzy. I'd sure wanna' put some wheelstops down for the Mrs.' car!!!

I'd be taking the bullbar off it and ocky strapping a pillow to the front. I have a rope hanging in my shed that touch's the windscreen of the Patrol so Julie knows she can close the roller door. But I wouldn't put that much faith in it. It's just a rough guide not millimeter perfect.

Those Rocket 111 owners just park anywhere they like. This photo shows what I'm trying to say, just park where ever there's the least resistance. There's 5 Rockets in this photo everyone facing a different way. (Trevor's favorite servo)
