I am completely fed up with this rain now. It has rained almost everyday in the South West of the UK since just before Christmas.
I've taken the bike out a couple of times but it just gets covered in sh1te every time I go out.

You American and Aussie guys don't know how lucky you are to be able to ride throughtout the year. I know in some of the Northen states its cold and white but how long does that last?

I took the bike out on Boxing day because it was sunny but there was ice on the road all day and it made for a interesting riding experience I can tell you. This weekend i was planning to take the old girl out ( and the Rocket) but have a guess what the forecast is? rain, rain and even more rain with a few gales chucked in too.

ROLL ON SPRINGTIME BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE A CAGED ANIMAL.

The rain here has been beautiful .it has cooled things nicely .4 day weekend is really nice . Even bumped into six cops on bikes at the bp fuel at Coomera . I wonder if they've broken the law associating in a gang . Hhhmmm.

Da Blue Gang! Biggest baddest meanest mob in town.

And armed......................

I do know how lucky I am (we are) to be able to ride year round - oh for the good ol' days when a little pillaging or plundering got you free colonial relocation eh ;)

Rained today, thankfully, although only for about 40 min. Much needed. Thought for a minute I'd need to close the vents on the jacket but it stopped before I rode home.

Seriously? Hah!! A LONG TIME! I would LOVE to have rain. We have to STOP riding usually by late October, thats when I put my bike away for storage... so lets work that out, October, November, December, January, February, March.... Thats 5 months already of no riding at all, and March doesn't guarantee we will even have warmth. We have so much snow and ice, that it takes months for it to melt. Then, on top of that, we have debris and salt on the road, that literally has to have the city come and sweep it up from the streets because it gathers on the road and becomes a hazard for bikers.... then because its spring, it rains a lot, so then it may be warm, maybe above freezing at 5-7c but now its raining.... for about 2 months... so now its almost april or may, and its possibly safe to get back out on the road..

So maybe you should enjoy the rain ;) ... Because we certainly can't enjoy our bikes at all!!

Your not on your down down there. Up here in the North West it's wet too, & I'm fed up with it also, but it only serves to make riding a bit less fun, it doesn't stop us going out & I'm still trying to test out my new suspension units (front & rear) but greasy roads are not what we want for that. Roll on spring & feeling the sun on my back
