Chippewa boots. Tough product made in the USA

The uppers are still in excellent shape. I bought them in Sturgis South Dakota in 1991. I guess they don't owe me anything. Gotta get a price on getting them re-shod. If that proves to be to costly I'll look into new.

About $100.00 at my Cobbler in town with the good oil proof, last a long time, original type soles. I wear the Harley 1%er type Chippewa boot. One of the last "Made in the USA" all leather boots I could find. They are not comfortable for walking, but they are strong as Hell and have metal toes. I have never had them slip out from under me in gravel in a parking lot, or at a stop on a paved road. Several years ago I almost went down in gravel at an intersection slipping on gravel in my "Cowboy" style boots. Take a look at The Chippewa site. Product style #27863. Product code #11521669. Good luck!:D

When I wear my Chippewa boots I feel like a Hells Angel. Cool look. Just kidding,,,. They are a ***** to walk a long way in. Not sure why they fit perfectly. I guess they were designed for riding, kicking ass and attracting bar *****es. Not walking,,,,,.

:D I know what you mean,i had three pairs of those heavy lace up stilts.;) I'm 6'2'' and they made me look 6'4''. My local tool shop sells Chippewas and he turned me on to the RALLY boot . As long as they make them these are all i'll wear. Your still $100 under the gore-tex..

Thanks all for the suggestions. Took mine to the local shoe repair. $65.00 later they are like new again. He was amazed at the condition of the uppers considering their age (bought in Sturgis in 1991). I'm figuring the constant bath in Harley 70 wt. will probably preserve them forever.:D

Imo redwing boots are little pricey but nothing else i would buy to work or ride in

Red Wing is what I have worn for the past ten years. Water proof and comfy - not great for a lot of walking; but I carry a pair of sandals for when I stop for the evening or day.
Due to my deteriorating back, I have added a zipper to the sides. They work very well and still no wet feet. They do need a re-sole after this last ride. I highly recommend the Red Wing brand.
