FINALLY after months of struggle and frustration, I have my bike back and my “first” mod project finished. Final tally is:
Corbin Fastgun seat (with green accent to match future paint plans)
Ghost Lock brackets with Hepco & Becker Strayker bags (if I can ever get the brackets to ship... they took my money but won't send my product or return my calls)
Triple 2780 K&N filters
PCV and AT (With Hanso’s ever-popular AFR table)
Reband exhaust (Many thanks to Ric and the Reband folks for working with me and shipping so quickly!)
Progressive 444 shocks and Progressive front springs
Black bits to replace chrome bits: Mirrors, radiator shroud, bear claw, horn cover (is in the mail)
Bridgestone Exedra Max rear tire (Avon Cobra front)

I am still experiencing an occasional (happened twice yesterday, both times during the hottest part of the afternoon) sudden and significant loss of power. The engine runs as if on 2 cylinders… it maintains an even cadence but is obviously not “right”. She’s able to keep moving but it makes a hell of a noise (including some backfiring). Consistently after 30-60 seconds it clears up, regardless of what I do (keep going, pull over, rev, clutch, turn off/on the key, etc). I’ve been in the shop something like 8 weeks so far this summer just trying to figure out this one stupid problem… any and all helpful suggestions are welcome. It’s been happening ever since we installed the K&N and PCV (the rest of the bike was completely stock… problem has persisted through all the other work).

Coils leads (high and low tension) have been checked and rechecked (next step is to rebuild or replace them).
Throttle bodies have been balanced.
Air Temp sensor is properly placed at the lead end of the bearclaw
Crank position has not been altered in any way and sensor is clean
Battery leads are tight and clean
All PC connections are tight and flooded with dielectric grease

Upgrade the firmware on your PCV from the website and it should stop the loss of power issue. Mine was doing the same thing...did the upgrade and it hasn't done it since.

TPS ???? id give the pcv a tune update first but if that doesnt work may be a tps.

nice looker. got any more pics of that fast gun seat from side on and back?

here are a couple older pics of the seat (that's my wife posing with the bike). Obviously this is with the stock headers and my TORs.

The Rebands actually sound very slightly louder than the TORs, maybe 1 or 2 decibels, at idle... but as soon as you touch the throttle they leap to life. The more open headers create a much more sonorous sound from the throttle bodies as well... not as "crackly" and more of a nice angry engine sound. I'm exceptionally happy with the performance and sound of the pipes. Once I get my engine tic sorted I'll be hitting a dyno to see how she stacks up. I'm hoping to at least be pushing at the rear wheel what Triumph claims at the crank out of the box.
