Anyone suggest any must sees or do in Arizona in Feb. Won't be able to take the Rocket but will be renting the ultra classic. Oh well, It'll be a nice break from -30c. In a quote from another famous Rocketeer " to infinity and beyond"

where abouts in arizona how long you going to have

Time frame?

Yes That would be my question also. I would defiantly recommend Tombstone if you are a Western history type guy like I am. If you are in Northern AZ, take old 66 from Kingman to Seligman. If you have the time take 66 from Kingman to Oatman also. Oatman is a hoot to go see. Good trip. Also if you have never seen the Grand Canyon, go see it! The first time I was there it was "Jaw dropping" awsum!

Get an AZ map and look at some of these places. February is a good month to take old 66 from the CO river through Oatman, then to Kingman, then to Seligman and then to Williams. From Williams go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. You will be GLAD you did! Absolutely a gorgeous ride!

But one warning for you. If you do go to Williams and the GC, make sure you check the weather first. It could be real cold and you could get some snow. The southern part of AZ should be a no problem area to ride if the northern part is going to be cold.

Jaw dropping indeed..watch out for tourist on Rt 64. I never got to see the G.C skywalk:(

We rented a red Mustang convertible in Vegas last Sept. and drove to Williams and the Grand Canyon and had a blast. Spent the night in Williams and cruised town that evening. Will definitely do that again. Hope you get the chance.

Plus one! The only concern I have here is the weather and temperature. In a rented vehicle, anywhere in AZ in Feb is good. On a bike in the northern areas, well I guess if ya got the heated clothing and such. ;)

We rode Hwy 1 from San Francisco south for about 30 miles in Feb a couple years ago and froze our butts off! We were also on an Ultra Glide which helped because the lack of power kept us from going too fast and just getting colder :D. I agree Muleskinner, I'm betting Northern AZ will be downright chilly too...

Yes, Williams can be a bit cold. This pic was taken in APRIL 2010. Never got to see the Canyon! We brought our bikes all the way from Scotland.I guess you were making us feel like we were back home. Next day it was freezing so we headed back to Needles to warm up.

Your right about the heated cloths, I don't trust anybodys weather enough to leave it behind. Will be in Pheonix Feb14 and leaving Feb 19. There's 2 of us with no plans, no reservations, and sometimes, no idea. But we do like to ride.
