    winter project NOS Thanks Wayne for the nitrous info..That is my project for this coming winter..I try to ride, not to work on my bike in the short minnesota summers. I will contact you this fall and have you design a kit for me..Plus I have to buy tires again (front and Rear)..never had a bike...

  4. shift lite

    has anyone come up with a shift lite for r3?? the first 3 gears go awful fast and I thought a shift lite would help getting thru 1st 3 gears..dont want to replace tach..is there a light that i could install to work with my tach...how do I do it..Thanks

    good point how much nitrous can the stock pistons take reliably..Pistons are usually the the weak link...unless the top ring land is extremely thin, at a compression ratio of 8.7:1 the piston should be able to handle the extra cylinder pressure.. are people using superchargers or turbos on...

    I think it worked Hellfire, I put in a 1k resistor and when the triumph dealer hooked it up to his computer it said every gear was 5th gear..Thanks for the cheap horsepower.. GI-pro, sounds great but so does this mod..Why doesnt triumph put an overdrive in the Rocket and says it is a green...

    I see no reason the Rocket III cannot make 25hp. per cyl. on nitrous reliably for $500.. Big motor, low compression, conservatively built..( plenty to build on )..I have ran nitrous on many big block chevy's and am going to assemble a kit for my rocket soon..I have jardines, 3 k&ns , sec...

    Already love it!! More left??? Went with dealer offroad tune.. $30, worth a try....some decel pop but I can control it with throttle and clutch...took bike out and gradually revved it to 4000rpm 1st gear and cracked it...used to get a 6 inch wheelie for 5 feet, now I almost left fender paint...

    so far so good installed Jardines..had to hand fit every piece...prybars, screwdrivers, rubber mallets etc..did 12 minute tune.. started good.. will go with triumph tune and see what happens...very happy so far..

    Bought my rocket in 05..get a new bike every 3 years and guess what? 5 years later and it is still top dog..so..guess I will have to up the ante myself with the help of the my fellow Rocket III crazies on R3owners.com.....I always need more and 5 years is long enough even for me...your wisdom...
