The K&N is the lead that came out of the hole in the plenum.

the other was attached to the outside of the plenum at the bolt-on location towards the front of the bike.

Good pic of the MAP sensor and Air Temp sensor with a protective filter on it. A bad MAP can wreck you idle and throttle control at shallow settings.
