2011 R3R
I am new to site and recently purchased a 2011 R3R, I tried to down load a tune using Tune ECU and when I finished the check engine light is blinking and the bike will not start? All the steps were followed and Tune ECU shows a white TPS box, but I can't start the bike?

It was the tune, P1614 error. I downloaded a different Tune and it worked fine. Thank you!

The domination tune, I went to tuneecu site and used the 20355 and it loaded fine. Now I need to find one to unrestrict it.

If you want to use the 20355 tune (R3R with offroad silencers) and unrestrict it, just go to the 2ndaries table, make all the values 100, save the tune with a different name, and load it into the ECU. This is the only difference between the older and so called unrestricted tunes for the newer R3R's. The fuel and ignition are exactly the same.

You cannot load 2013+ tunes in 2012 bikes.

Are you sure you loaded the Domination 2004-2012 version? The other tunes listed there are all for 2013+. If that is the case, I will double check it as soon as I get home today, it is supposed to be 20355 base tune with my adjustments added to it!

There was a rework of the ECU design that started in 2013, so to use tunes developed on new bikes on an old bike they have to copied over an older base tune and to use tunes made on older bikes on a newer bike you have to copy the tune onto a newer base tune.

Let me clarify. The 20355 tune for the earlier vins is exactly the same as the so called unristricted tune, 20776, that came out in 2013 except that the secondaries are closed in the 20355 tune. All you need to do is open them to 100% and you should get whatever extra power there is in the newer tune.

The tunes are not the same, you cannot load 20355 in 2014 or 20776 in 2004-2012, they are separate ECU configurations and not compatible. Simply opening the secondaries in 20355 to 100% does mirror what triumph did on the 20776 tune.

That is why my tune should work if the correct one is being loaded into the correct year bike, I used 20355 as the base for the 2004-2013 Dom tune and 20776 as the 2014+ Dom tune.

The two tunes are the same in that all of the values in all of the tables except the secondaries table are identical. Dig?
