Hi ever one from New Zealand, using dial up so very slow

r3 srarting problems

Can anyone help. My 2007 R3 Classic has been in storage for 4 mths, it has a security system and a battery minder. I went to start it and the battery was flat, ****ty minder, it just made a single clik noise the lights dimmed etc. I put a jumper from my running Toyota Camry with the same result. I'm about 180 km from the nearest Triumph dealer here in Coromandel New Zealand.

Looks like we are the only two awake, if you can disconnect the battery and give it a full charge. Good luck

If your using soup cans and string for your internet, you may have to stir sea water in coconut shells to charge your battery.

Sounds like the alarm might have drained the battery totally flat ... if thats the case, the scotts right and you might want to remove it while hitting it with a 10amp or more charger. It's the safer way to go when charging an "iffy" battery.

Thanks guys, the battery is being charged now, temp is about 25c and very humid, 3pm NZ time.
