My Corbin Seat arrived the other day and I was over the moon the Ox Blood Welts looked even better than I had imagined and even did the welt in the Gunfighter ovalbac (it is the smallest they make) backrest I ordered. Oh and I nearly forgot it is heated yeah yeah I know I am getting soft but yesterday I went over to Ruzzle's place and got caught out and got soaked but I had a warm butt
Corbin's bracket including the brackets of the seat
Unfortunately as others had reported the Mount system Corbin had made is next to useless as even with the brackets pushed as forward as they go there was no way they were going to line up but fortunately they had made a god decision to put threaded lugs in the base of the seat so I made a template of the base including the threaded holes to make my own bracket I used 3mm Stainless sheet and used my Plasma cutter to cut out a bracket then with a engineer's ballpein hammer and vice put the necessary bends so that it flowed along the base to where the original seat lock goes I sat a seat lock spike of the bottom of my original seat in the locking catch with some cardboard holding it up in as high as possible and place a couple of pieces of "Blu Tack" on it back then with the bracket mounted on the seat I placed the seat on the bike and carefully sat on it, got of carefully and while holding the key in the open position lifted the seat and drew an out line on the bracket, removed the Blu Tack drilled and mounted the lock spike on to the base, I then slotted the holes on the bracket where it mounts on to the seat to allow fine tuning
My bracket before mounting the seat spike
finished effect
You can also see the new Top Box on bike made by MBK a division of Givi, the paint section is actually an easy to remove skin which was nice shade of Yamaha Blue, I picked up the Top Box at "Joe's Motorcycles" where Richard works. It also has a reflector in the back which is the perfect size to mount a self adhesive LED strip (there are different sizes and brightness one available from Jaycars)I got the larger brightess one they had
and it is super bright
