Well I have spent more than 20 hours since I successfully saved my tune map from my ecu. there is no communication between my lap top and the bikes ecu. My question is "how many ECUs have been fried trying to change tunes off of the Tuneecu site." I just want to know if this is a possibility?

I know of none. I believe there's a fuse for the ECU. Does the bike run? Lights?

None have been fried that I am aware of. Turn everything off, including the computer. Reboot the computer and connect it to the bike as per the instructions. Make sure that the cable is plugged into the same USB port on the computer that you used when you read the tune off the bike. (I know that it should work in any USB port, but for some reason that is not always the case.) Make sure that the bike battery is FULLY charged. If you have left the ignition on for 20 hours then the battery won't be charged, and you may have caused some problems with other things. When you have done all of that, it should communicate. You may need to do a "recovery from failed download" as well.

Well I used the battery from my car with booster cables to maintain proper current levels. I have tried recovery , disconnecting battery from bike and really tried all and every thing. Bike dods not answer or respond to lap top.
Just another piece of info is that: I bought this bike used and the recovered tune is not stock but some tune for a bike in Germany[ not sure of tune # just now]

Without the computer connected, what do you get if you turn the ignition on?
Since you bought it used, any idea how old the battery is? I'd buy a new battery and try that before assuming the ecu is fried?
