Coolant Overflow Tank Relocate

BTW the stock tank will fit in the left hand side panel just fine....

remove the panel, lash one zip tie to the loop on the stock tank and over the fram erail, and reinstal panel....

like it was made for it, I now have a bunch of stuff stashed under my seat

But don't the expansion tank have to be higher than the highest point on the radiator?

supposedly if both tanks are filled properly and the hose has coolant in it too it will suck and push coolant back and forth as needed.....far as I know...

several folks have been running it under the seat for quite a while

Nope. Not if the overflow tube stays under coolant in the overflow tank.

Hey, even I'm capable of learning something once in a while.....

After I posted that I was out in the yard and I was servicing one of the tractors and I looked at the coolant overflow bottle on it and lo and behold, it's mounted on the frame that the charge air cooler is mounted to. A foot below the radiator top.

I stand humbly educated.;)

coolant bootle

I came across this trany overflow can. The rocket overflow can be quite small .
If you notice amount of coolant difference (hot to cold) in stock overflow its only about 8 oz difference.
