2013 rocket 111
Hi all, was about to get the exedra max on the rear after recommendations on this site however dealer said that as the tire is slightly taller it can cause issues with the abs kicking in at random times.
Has anyone had this problem before?

I have read many riders are using this tire on ABS bikes. It is reported the difference in size is within the tollerance of the ABS and causes no problems.

I know of several ABS rockets that are running the Excedra max with no problems other than the goofball attached to the bars

Problem could arise if you also fit a small size on the front. I think a 140 is OK but a 130 front along with the taller rear can mess up the ABS. If you're still running a stock 150 on the front you'll be fine.

What @R3Tex said!
The ABS function is controlled by the ECU and affected by the ratio of the front wheel circumference versus rear wheel circumference.
If I remember my calcs correctly, you need to stay within about an 8% ratio.
A 140 front tire works fine and a 130 tire will disable the ABS, but you still have normal brakes.
I have run both size of front tires and verified this.
