You can always wait and see if anyone is selling them used, I bought mine from this site's members used, then I painted them...

@ROCKETHEAD I'd like to ask about the hi-speed behaviour of your bike.
I have heard that there can be death wobble with those fairings. But I have also heard the contrary, stating they can even stabilize the steering?
The beetle bags probably behave nice at speed, compared to my leather saddle bags. I can feel them a lot at speeds >180 kph, especially on windy days.
Thanks for any info...

You have to play with the angle of the batwing a bit with spacers. Been up to 135mph as it sits.

Probably also depends on the brand/model of the fairing and its aerodynamics and where the center of balance lands.

No high speed issues, just butt ugly in black. Just kidding, I have them on my Classic, check my photo album, uh, I think.

I get a little wobble at about 140-145 MPH while out on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Thinking of adding a steering damper.

I do think the fairing and the beetle bags make a lot of drag and hold back the top speed.

i bought used set of beetle bags the guy tipped his bike over and had a small crack. i paid $200 shipped and had them repainted i love them but i went with the fly shield painted to match bike. i also made custom bracket for the passenger running boards before corbin came out with there cheap version of a bracket.
