Great pics and great looking bike... Btw - Where did you get the rocket iii logo for the radiator? Interesting detail there i've not seen before.

US Gas Prices by county...Great site!

Are you guys putting regular or premium gas in you r3? I thought I read some folks were putting regular octane in, while I thought the manual says premium... Just asking opinions since gas prices are on the way up yet again.

For some reason I like big bikes....

Wow - and really great look. Get it into some contests and oust all those guys showing off unridable bikes. Lots of folks showing off custom bikes - very few seem to be like you with a great concept.

    Patches

Personally, I like what you had. I might make the words bigger if someone is going to read it. BT. Your original question was for other ideas too. How about 2300cc's of Freedom. (put it over the triumph logo with wings) Or 2300cc's stretched and shaped like a Viagra pill with a...

    GoPro HERO

Spectacular view. Have a great time. Around here you'd see that road loaded with a stream of bikes running it. In your pic it still look pristine.

    My bike threw up today

Mine did that last year. Turned out to be a bolt had come loose and dropped down to block the fan from turning. I got caught in traffic and it smoked a little - got home and it made a mess. Topped up the coolant (not realizing the fan problem), next day I hit heavier traffic and ended up with...

    Saran wrap

I've just had mine strapped down open - didn't hurt it at all... But I'll ride in ugly weather too. Maybe think of moving blankets strapped to the bike first and a cover over the blankets? When I moved it a long distance I had a guy show up and do it - not too pricey - and something to think...

Why I bought a Rocket III

I'm a big guy and have to commute 40 min on the highway in and out of work. Wanted something that fit my size, would sit on the road like a tank but have enough power to get me out of trouble, and be comfy for my wife. R3T is perfect, a blast to ride and comfortable for a guy my size...

    Trunk

Don't the r3t panniers open away from the bike? Are you thinking it'll hit the underside of the trunk?

I second the multitech if you want to consider modular.

    scala rider

I have the scala team set. Works great and you can be pretty far apart on the road and still get clear intercom. Works dandy with my cell phone, you have to plug in for your music but cell is Bluetooth. You can also have a gps at the same time as above. Takes the charge for a long time. One...

    New Helmets

Personally I like the modular. Great for the gas station and the like when you don't want to take off you gear just to speak with someone quickly. I have the shoei modular. It doesn't have the break-down problems I agree happen with other models of modular. It is light, but I find it a bit...

    Comfort Touring Suspension Pack

Along these same lines - if I load just under 400 lbs between me, my wife and gear - do I need to change the suspension from the stock for the r3 touring?

    I'm Embarassed To Ask

Was pretty cheap. Candidly don't remember the price but it was cheap enough I got 2 instead of just 1 so both sides got replaced at the same time.. Also didn't want the wrong one in there- replace with too high wattage and the **** things are a fire hazard.

    Beyond Ridiculous

Catastrophy... You have Kids/nieces/nephews in a shrek phase too? Imagine the vibration with tread like that? I wonder if it's drivable. Forget putting a foot down at a light - you'd need a stepladder.

...the lamp and wiring are all one piece. Like a moron I was busy trying to figure out if the bulb came out an it's own. Btw. Dealer didn't even know the right bulb until I yanked it out and brought it in since the service manual does't mention that little tidbit.

Bikes to get warning systems ‘within two years’

Maybe they'll give you a heckle option for when you're going slow - or cuss randomly at folks at a stoplight just to spice it up a bit. Seriously, read an article on traction control recently that looked interesting... I thought they were testing on mostly supersports tho.
