Bit of a shock if you believe salesmen !

Just read a post on a U.K based Triumph forum from a guy wanting to guy a new Sprint. He reckons that he was told by the dealer that the Sprint and the Rocket are to be discontinued:eek:. What, if true could be the replacement ? I hope its not a bigger badder engined bike called a" Missile"...

    Standing out in a crowd

Three of us ride together regularly on rockets and it seems everywhere we go 2 or 3 more turn up. At the larger watering holes for bikes there's always at least 6 or 7. Reckon its something to do with our island being a bit more "compact" than your country.:D

    Roadster rear shocks upgrade?

Just fitted some Progressive 440's , second hand off ebay. What a difference ! No wallowing , no more loose fillings. I'm pretty sure any of the shocks that have been suggested so far will be a vast improvement on stock. If you can't decide go with the ones you think look the best, you won't go...

I cant even begin to imagine what it takes to do this!!

I'm not into bike racing at all but every year i'm glued to the tv for a week watching the coverage while its on. Cameras all over the bikes, footage from every angle and then some. Its awesome. You've got to be impressed by the blokes that do it, my brain just won't process data at that speed...

    Cold Weather + Oil

Mine started first press last winter after 3 weeks and no battery tender. It was -14 at the time so it can't be a fault with all of them.

    You've bought it !

Real nice weather here at the moment so me and 2 of my riding buddies who also ride Rockets just set off in a Westerly direction. Seeing as we were going that way i suggested calling in at our nearest Triumph dealership on the way for a free coffee and see who else was there. Originally one of...

    G'day from West Oz

Beat me to it. Another jingle thats stuck in my head for 46yrs is the old Mortine fly spray add off t.v." Louie the fly straight from rubbish tip to you". Strange the things that stick in yer head for years. Now if it was something important it would be gone in 60seconds.

    G'day from West Oz

Well when i say a long time ago, i was 10yrs old. My dad was the capt. of a ship that ran between Fremantle and Singapore. He got the posting for 2yrs so we went with him. We were there when you went decimal in 1966, 14th of febuary. I always remember that stupid jingle off the t.v even now ...

Mine came with one on. Tried the standard seperate's but the wife complained about the plank of a rear pad. They look ok and are much more comfortable for a pillion. Can't go wrong at that price.

To bike or not to bike, this is the question

I keep saying i'm selling the Harley, just need to get round to it. When i do its either an old carb model Hinkly Bonnie to play with and make sound nice, and get rid of everything off it thats surplus to requirements. Just something light and nippy for a change and as you said still got a...

    hagon nitro rear shocks

Probably not. These just came along at the right time and price. Like i said previously i was going for the Nitro's . When i asked the question "which" as always opinions were divided so when these came along i thought "what the hell". Performance aside and expecting them to be equals, i.m.h.o...

    hagon nitro rear shocks

I got the chrome ones. I put them on today and went for it down a previously Rocket Lethal road near here that i used to avoid. One of the long sweeping bumpy bends used to induce a tank slapper, not anymore though. I took it 10mph faster than tankslapping speed with the 440's on and it was...
