    Well finally got the starter motor off the trike, had to remove drive shaft to allow access but I got it off.stripped it apart and as one other had said the contacts where slightly car boned up so cleaned them all and refitted.     The trouble is its an intermittent fault,and usually only does it after a long ride out, most of the time it's working fine !. Cheers bud.

    It's not the relay that's at fault it's the starter solenoid mate. Cheers

    This is a trike and is difficult to get to it. But after several clicks it does start and is alright for a while then clicks again, and so on. Cheers

    If it was a fault with any of the switches it wouldn't try to start at all, which it is when the starter solenoid just clicks !. Cheers though.

    I've had a look this morning and as is I can't take it off, but the connector between solenoid and starter motor was very corroded and the retaining nut wasn't flat faced either , so cleaned the fitting and refitted with a new s/s flanged nut. Just have to see how it goes for now.Then have good...

    That's what I'm thinking switch the solenoid, but as its on my rocket trike it even harder to get to now, may have to strip the whole bloody thing apart. Cheers

    Alternator is kicking 14.5 volts so thick that's ok. Going to attemp to pull it tomorrow to just check connection.etc.

  20. P0108 and P0113 after ramair upgrade

    I don't think you should hold the clutch lever in all the time, the ecu control needs to see it being switched which is what happens when u pull it in. It sounds like you have a big short on the ignition side. Unplug the lights etc to eliminate that side of the system.
