Which wire to tap for switched power?

The I have shrink tube over them now so I can't tell what color wire to use. If you get a cheap 12volt test light check both of the wires and it shouldn't light up on either. Now turn on the key and one should light up thats the wire you want

Which wire to tap for switched power?

I chose the plug under the left cover because it didn't go to anything else. Just cut off the plug splice to the positive wire solder the connection and cover with shrink tubing. Make sure to slide the tubing up the wire prior to making the connection.

Which wire to tap for switched power?

I used the plug that barbagris marked with a ? It is switched power and is used for nothing on my bike so it seems to be the perfect spot to tap into. The PC8 I got I mounted in the same place as barbagris under the right side cover.

Which wire to tap for switched power?

I just installed a PC8. The switched power I used is under the left side cover. There is a plug that was not in use I was told it was for Calif. emissions. If all you need is one wire just tap into that its not used for anything on my bike. You don't need a fuse box to get switched power.

    Electrical Question

Yep Ive already got the wiring with the relay. The hot wire on that plug is switched. I guess I was just wondering what it was for and if there was any reason not to use it.

RAA 9 June 2014 Ouray, Colorado Week ?

I see your point its just nice to be able to drop your gear in a room and not haul it around every day. Its also nice if you feel like sitting out a day you can instead of dropping out all together. I understand if it doesn't work for this area.

    Electrical Question

It is the PC8. I thought about hooking direct to the battery and decided to hook it up as designed with most of the fuses switched.
