Brembo,

if i was going to use the stock rim, then i would shod with a 245/50-16. have it put on with a car tire machine using alloy mounting protocol. using m.c. mounting equipment causes to much damage when it stops 6" shy and you have to resort to tire irons to finish lipping the rim.the stock rim does well on automotive tire machines.much easier to mount v/w rated tires with tight beads for high speed use. inflate to 20/22#'s pressure under nitrogen for consistent pressure retention. this has never failed me.it's going to be very strenuous on the drive train though,so be conservative. if you decide to go darkside on the street, use a narrower profile to give some longevity to the drive train.205/215 should work well with a solo set-up for the street.run pressure at 30/35 #'s under nitrogen.i would go with same tire brands for adhesion on the street as well.with a 205 you will notice much better grip, and cornering will be very close to stock. 215 is very good grip, with minimal counter steer effort. have fun....

Thanks Greg, very good advice. I don't plan on going darkside on the street. I will definately use it at the strip. I will also use a car tire installer. I'll record my trips to the strip and will probably have to raise the rpm's off the line to keep the front wheel grounded.
