Can a Triumph Rocket beat.........

Can a Triumph Rocket beat a Yamaha FJR 1300 in a 0 to 60 mph? (given same driver skills)

Just so happens that in the latest issue of Motorcycle Consumer News they have the times for the FJR.

11.12 @ 119.60 and 0-60 in 3.20 seconds.

It would be a very close race with a modified R3.

I don't intend to be snooty about it; but, shave 116 dry weight pound from a standard Rocket III then put them through the paces. The Rocket will likely leave the touring wannabee FJR at the starting line. You've got lemons and cherries mixed up. The Rocket III being the cherry. The FJR 1300, looking from my point of view, is a sport bike not a cruiser and attaching a touring label on that profile bike is a misnomer.
