For those of you R3T riders who are getting power back through Tuneboy, PCIII or GIPro, you might want to consider that the 180 tire is not rated for the same speed/ power as the Wider Classic/ Standard tire. I am getting a 205 Car Tire this week and would be glad to provide feedback for those who might be interested. | "Robert" 2008 Rocket III Touring |

You make a good a point. You're living proof that Triumph (or Bridgestone) woefully miscalculated with regards to the R3T riders. I really believe they outfitted the bike with the thinking that guys that buy the "touring" model likely wouldn't be of the same mindset of those that buy the Standard. Boy, were they wrong. The OEM Bridgestones were fine for their intended purpose, but obviously not for what guys started doing to them. When mine came off the bike, I asked how'd they look and the dealer said they looked great. From the wear they had, minimal, I'd say I'd have gotten 10-12k miles out of them.

Thanks for the response Robert. With the tune in my R3T, and being that all my buds ride HD's as I did for over 30 yrs (still have a 101CI Shovel), I like teasing hopped up HD's. Try not to spin the tire, but obviously it does more than I realize, because with the same throttle twist on cement, the front end leaves the ground. So getting between 4 and 5,000 miles on a Marathon, with 47,000 miles, I've bought alot of tires.
Will be very interested to hear what your new tire does. Thanx

The tire was supposed to be installed today but with 2 feet of snow over the weekend the dealer I'm using, who is also a snowmobile dealer and has a bunch of snowmobile repairs to do today. I can only pick it up on Monday, Thursday or Saturday as otherwise I am at work while they are open. Looks like I'll probably have it back by Thursday, but it looks like we are supposed to get another foot of snow Tuesday into Wednesday. Anyway, I'll give you my impressions next week I hope! By the way, I've got a Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide at home, I just hate to ride it now! | "Robert" 2008 Rocket III Touring |

Outside of Gap, just east of Lancaster, and rode to work in Exton year round. Weren't seeing the snow fall then, as what this year has brought. Totalled my EG Classic on Rt 30 at over 80mph. Saw $81 for the tire you mentioned. I might attempt to take my wheel off and go to the local car/bike tire shop. Bet you miss the tunes at times on the R3T. I've got a marine, 208w system that I have installed yet. Want it to look factory. People think my tourpak is factory. Let me know how it handles with the 205.

I've got a 200 watt Pyle Marine Amp and Kenwood 6 inch speakers on my Harley Tour Pack. I run my ipod through it. Sounds great! I'll let you know how the tire handles. It cost me $108. Getting it mounted at a local Kawasaki shop. | "Robert" 2008 Rocket III Touring | | |
