Talking New Touring Owner (nearly)

Hi Guys,
I can officially stop lurking now, coz my black and white Touring has arrived at the dealers. Classy looking color scheme. Took me ages to decide between the Classic and Touring, but at 6'7" the Touring space was better set up for me(and the size 14s fit well on the boards.)

My last pre payment check, prior to getting the accessories fitted, was how the Minister for War and Finance would fit on the back. She did (with a little moaning about how it was more difficult to mount with the longer panniers and dresser bars over the current bike - Vulcan2000.....but not enough to worry about).

There is one worrying comfort issue though. When she's seated, with her feet squarely on the boards, the pannier dresser bars dig into the back of her calf (and if she's not happy, I'm not happy!). I know there's a Rivco mod for the Classic that lets you move the boards forward, but does anyone know if this works for the Touring? (or has anyone else even experienced this?)

Regards, Pete

Congrats on the new bike. That would be my choice for the Touring also.

I would imagine that over the next 6 months to 1 year you'll see a lot more aftermarket available for the Touring model. It took a couple of years to get a small variety of accessories for the standard model.

Bars

On my 2007 Classic Tourer the rear crash bars keeps the legs
off the detail trim. Hope this helps, welcome aboard.
