seat, pipes, bars

I have the following unused parts from my standard Rocket:

1) seat (rider and pillion)

2) 3 standard mufflers

3) 1 cat box with stuff in it.

4) stock handle bars.

Hi dougl - do you know if the seat arrangement will fit my 08 Classic?

Standard Seat on Classic

I went the other way to provide a better ride for the passenger on my '06 R3 SE.

I got the Classic seat from someone adding a Corbin to his Classic so I assume it works the other way around (standard to classic).

For the Classic, you will need to change the pillion mount (or remove it if you're looking to use the rider seat only). The rider seat fits the existing mount.

I'll take the pillion seat if someone wants just the rider seat. But will buy both seats.

The important part ... How much?

Thanks druid - great feedback and appreciated - whats not appreciated is sliding in on my purchase!

I'm after a second seat so I can send one to Russell Day-Long to have it converted to something luxurious. Then for long hauls I can use the big comfortable seat and round town keep the standard Classic seat.

Simple really - now I just have to procure a seat

I got the impression you were after the rider's seat, I'm just after a passenger pillion.

No sneaking intended

All good

I'm actually after rider and passenger if it's a single seat pan - i've yet to hear back from dougl what sort of seat arrangement it is

cheers

It's two seat pans. The Passenger pillion has a bracket that attaches with two or three bolts underneath the rider seat pan. The rider seat attaches to the keyed pinion.

The rider seat is independent.

The Classic seat is a one piece pan and uses a different support bracket for the passenger portion.

I'm wanting to do the same thing with the passenger pillion ... All Day seat for my other. Perhaps I'll get a trunk to attach to the luggage rack and mimic the Gold Wing Lounge.

Then I'll just have to put a cup holder on the back of my helmet

soooo ... if you're interested in sharing & the price is right ..

Maaate..what a smooth talker

Yeah, ok...sounds good...i'll probably just make up a little cover/rack to fit over the rear fender where the classic seat clips to.

How much are we working toward?? Just let me know and I'm in.
