NOT at all hard to lock the rear with out ABS.. But still worthy of a good look and fluid change.
while I am on the subject of my ride last night and a few Brissy blokes are looking at this, I had a spincter tightening moment/wobble going along Ipswich Rd at Annerley due to a nasty bit of road surface that you wanna look out for. You might remember about a year or so ago a truck flipped into a house due to the off camber of the right hander. It is the right hand lane, right on the bend.

You can find it around here:
27°30'22.7"S 153°02'04.7"E

Google maps shows the surface looks like this:

Interestingly, if you see the street view on Google maps you can see the house on the left has installed a steel barrier.. sheesh, even houses have bull bars in Australia!

Got me the "brake tool" out of England.
Figure at 32K it be time to go through my front and rear systems and replace fluid.
Shall see how difficult this is using this ABS tool.

My ABS works nice , how do i know ? Fistfull of front brake ontop of a piece of soggy cardboard at BP Yatla last Sunday , i nearly made a chunky Yatla pie in my grundies

Is there a special tool for the abs models???

I was just about to change out my originals (30k km) but the boss said she was too scared I wouldn't do it right and she wouldn't get on again....she might a been right

Spoke to the service manager again last night, he says they have put over 50 miles on the bike with no more brake issues.

He has sent Triumph an Email and is awaiting a response from them before I pick up the bike.

Regardless of the outcome I don't have a way to get out there to pick it up

(Yes it's true, you long distance f&ckers are my only friends) :p

Looks like it may be a SpeedMaster Weekend

I am in the 'Ronga, I think I picked up somewhere you are in the 'Rooka? I usually avoid Ipswich Rd if possible.

I suppose the best approach is to stick to the left lane around that section. I was in traffic at about 5:20pm and I guess I fell into that groove. It was a bit unnerving as the rear dropped in while the bike was leaning, concrete barrier to the right, big truck on my left.. not my favourite riding experience, I usually cruise up through Fairfield, down by the hospital and into the tunnel (the bike sounds pretty terrifying in there! at least for other motorists, I guess they think it is an entire pack of bikies)
