Looks like you just did .. there's a thread on here somewhere showing Rocket Owners other Brit bikes .. past and present it turned out to be .. some nice bikes there.

The Rocket Three that was made before our Rocket Three's. Back in the 70's this was the bike that me and my buddies coveted. Totally out of the reach of our pockets. I think from memory a new one was like £160 - or $250. Still wish I had one now.

Riding Motor Since 1950
This in a nearly identical 1957 version was my first British motor. The Typhoon was a 600cc single that could seriously injure your right leg if not kicked through with proper use of the compression release lever! 1957 was the last year of the Burman trans, which was crap and required frequent brass bushing replacement.
The shown 1958 model had a new AMC trans which corrected all trannie issues.
Still have many fond memories of my young years spent riding this monster of the day on and off road!

Mine was originally a track bike and had no generator or lights.
I would find a road barricade with flashing light, knick the 6 volt battery and then use it to power a brake light which was required by law back then.

I had MANY adventures on that motor - including riding it literally out of the Stadium Bowl (in Tacoma).
After my band's final performance my senior year, I crashed into a 1 foot curb, flipping me and my passenger over a near cliff.
Radio and TV were there and made a big deal out of the crash.
YES, I was showing off for the crowd flat tracking the corners around the cinder track that encircled the football field!
