Tasmania Trip has begun and completed

So I take it there is still overcast conditions, so how was the Markets did Helen enjoy and did you see the beaut Clinker Hull sailing dinghy they (a local school) are raffling, I couldn't help myself I had to buy a ticket when I was down there the other week, I know I don't have a chance in winning it with just one ticket but one can hope! I have been lucky once in a blue moon

What day were u heading to Port Arthur? Today will be dry on the east coast. Maybe even sunny!
we went over on Saturday, weather was fantastic, nice ride out there and all the way back we could see Mt Wellington but was getting dark by the time we got back to Hobart

Try and make it up Mt Wellington Les ..sh!tty weather or not , views are spectacular as is the mountain itself. Port Arthur is a trip hey .. the British must have been the cruellest race ever to suck wind I reckon. Takes an evil sick mind to dream up a place like that. Beautiful place but f#ckin sure the original habitants would not have thought so. Silent prison next door the insane asylum , chained together dragging logs through the scrub .. all most of the convicts did was steal a loaf of bread, clothing or some other petty crime.

Did the 300 km run from Hobart to Strahan today, managed to miss the rain all day, stopped at The Wall and mates Ducati got knocked over in the car park by a tour bus and the guy completely denied it, hard for a bike to high side off the side stand with a gust of wind.
The run into Queenston was pretty impressive

Strahan is where my throttle cable broke .. you can imagine how annoying it was to contemplate the ride back to Hobart with a dodgy throttle. Defiantly wanted it repaired for the run up the East Coast .. just a magic place isn't it mate... motorcycle nirvana.
