Remember a while back someone stated a Nippon Denso starter motor from a Toyota Camry 55FE engine will fit the Rocket .. anyone actually fitted one ? Is it a straight bolt-on ? ... my starter has died and needs to be replaced/repaired .. thanks fellas.

Did that but was hoping an Aussie had carried out the mod .. part numbers most likely be different here .. and Toyota models mentioned aren't even sold in Australia.

I have used several starter up grades.some of the part numbets mentioned are incorrect as a starter swap out.as the motor rotates in the wrong direction. As well the case is in correct as a bolt in
The best way is to get the starter from the USA and swap the motor which takes ten minutes to do. Can get you the part numer if you like.I asked a bloke in USA to buy and send to me..note.these starters a rebuilds.not new.but I have had no trouble

Thanks fellas , going to try my local Auto sparky and see what he has to say .. appreciate the replies.
