Do you have dyno sheets for the stage 1 and stage 2 kits?
Do you have dyno sheets for the stage 1 and stage 2 kits?
Here are some power graphs. From lowest power to highest are as follows:
1. Std but TOR pipes and mapped.
2. NA tuned with cams, high comp pistons, big valves and a reasonable pipe (I would say far from perfect pipe, certainly not close to Bob Carpenters) but the only highly tuned NA bike I have had on the dyno.
3. TTS st1 supercharged with TOR pipes. This is extemely popular, has huge bottom end torque
4. TTS st3 conversion with 9.5:1 forged pistons and reground cams, a terrible exhaust that flowed worse than TORS. My St2 kits without cams and pistons but with TOR pipes makes almost as much power.
The ultimate set up I have yet to achieve. This would be Supercharger conversion with something like Bobs NA cams, Forged pistons and Bobs exhaust system. I think this would make 400whp at about 7000rpm. Thats with the C30-94 supercharger. If I did a special with the C38-91 we would be looking at north of 500whp. on race fuel. Don't know if the motor would take it but Bob runs them real hard NA with lots of rev's and they survive. :)

about insurance, HD ins who in my case turns out to be foremost cost me $230.00 a year and allows $3000.00 for acc's automatically as in I don't have to call them every time I add bling to the bike so why in the world would I tell them I added a supercharger? in insurance world a cruiser is a cruiser and I see no value in trying to convince them it's anything else.

Performance enhancing additions may fall under a different category than accessories.

depending on age, convictions etc an extra £100-300 a year BikeSure are happy to quote.

The rocket I have won is the one that had supposidly snapped its crank and tts had one specially hardend from Triumph and fitted by the owner who is/was a triumph mechanic up in the chesterfield area any info would be great.

The only crank that has ever snapped has been Trirocket 3's , on my dyno when we were pushing the revs up to 8000rpm. There has been I think 3 - 4 cases of the ends of the crank breaking off when the earlier bearings had failed, but this was unusual and I helped these guys out by fitting new steel snouts into the end of the crank which was a really successful repair. The way the drive is put together now is belt and braces and we don't have any problems. Some of the problem was not re-threading the end of the crank true to the centreline. We now supply jigs with the kit to make this pretty well impossible to get wrong. Bear in mind we have sold over 200 supercharger conversions in the 10 yrs it has been on sale.

I would be one of the ones that the end of the crank snapped due to the pulley not mating up properly to big of a rounded chamfer on the machined bits, also snapped the bolt that was supposed to be "indestructible"... still have unanswered emails... but that is a life time ago...

When she ran it was a blast and you pay to play... no regrets lessons learned...

Hopefully your updates work out for the folks running the newer versions.

All I can say is this didn't happen the way it's portrayed. If we (TTS) repaired the crank it would have had a toughened steel insert in the end of the crank to drive the crank pulley, or they fitted a new crank. Whether Triumph have special cranks I don't know but I would doubt it.

And with no paperwork to backup what I had been told had happened I decided to steer clear of it.....knowing my luck it would have gone BANG on the long ride home.......I've got a mint 07 Rocket already,I just fancied it as it had the charger fitted

The conversion has evolved into an excellent product with 2 yrs warranty. Talk to me before Christmas and see what Santa has to offer:)
