Yeah, the roads are simply devine. Roadworks from Cradle Mountain down to Strahan meant we went north east instead. St Marys pass (a stage of Targa Tasmania) was Motorcycle Nirvana. Discovered a few new roads and apart from 6 k's of gravel road, experienced some of the most incredible roads, scenery and locals Ive ever met. Had some top riders on the trip this year and it was seriously a very special time.

The roads around Cradle Mountain were the best riding I've ever done; although that run into Launceston from Scotsdale was pretty good too. Come to think of it, the whole place is fantastic. Lucky bastard. Next year.........

Common Tassie sign. Kangaroos *** your car!

Nah mate, plenty of it around but as long as you only ride during daylight you tend to be ok I've found.

As a young feller growing up in Tassie i remember dad dodging animals in the car. I hadnt been to Tassie for 21 years , took the fiancee there 2 years ago for a holiday and was amazed by the amount of roadkill on some of the back roads.
