I'm a new R3T owner and slowly adding things to get the bike to where I want it. I'm happy with the stock power, acceleration, etc. so not looking to make my 13'R3T faster but I would like pipes with a sound that matches the appearance of the bike. Not looking to wake up the neighborhood when I come home at night but looking for some growl. Prior to purchasing my R3T I rode a Yamaha Stratoliner with aftermarket Roadburner pipes and that's the sound I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

I would think the TORS or the D&D's would be a good option.

D&D's website used to have an audio clip you could listen to of the R3T with their pipes on it. Not sure if it's still there though

Can't go wrong with reverse cone megaphone slip-ons. Doesn't really make too much difference the header configuration.

I have a set of TORS installed on my 2014 R3T.

They are no were close to being as loud as what my old VTX with Vance and Hines straight shots. I'm not sure you can get a rocket to sound that loud. That being said I wasn't sneaking my old bike out at 0400 for a nice commute to work.

The TORS offer I nice rumble over stock. They aren't super loud but they aren't quiet like the stock. Some days I wish they were a little louder other days I'm happy they are where they are on the decibel scale.

I'd install the power Tripp ECU mod if I were you. It becomes a different bike with it.

i have been running my D and D's with the baffles removed but as I said before, I could really tell the difference in top end power loss. Today I took 2 exhaust pipes from Oreilly's and cut 16 one inch slots in them, one inch apart and bent one side in as shown to create new baffles. I then started closing the end of the pipe down a little at a time until I was happy with the power on top end again. I will probably make a few more adjustments as I go along but the bike sounds great and runs great. May be a little too loud for some folks but I really like the full megaphone sound I have now.

I have staine tune mufflers and cross over collection box, love the sound which got better the more I rode it.

And the whole system weighed about the same as one orginal muffler.
