Happened to me last year. First few warm days of spring and in the evening it was like riding in rain.

Returning from RDU 2012. Actually copped worse on the way up, around Muswellbrook - you can see the traces on the helmet. @Malcy and @ponters will remember I'm sure.

I rode thru a plaig of locusts up Wubin way, they were so thick cars were overheating from clogged up radiaters. They ***cin hurt when they hit bare skin those suckers.

Hey Big Kel, I remember that, it was about 24 years ago. I was working on the railways at Darkin and Corrigin. You could see piles of locusts at intersections where the cars stopped and the locusts dropped off. Most people had to put shade cloth in front of their cars.

Yep it was about 90-91 I was riding a 1990 HD and it wasn't very old at the time.

It's a far shot but I do recall returning from Corrigin along Brookton Hwy in my old Vip Valliant and I saw a guy on a HD with an open face helmet with a scarf on his face. He was about 20 minutes away from all the fun and I thought to myself that he was going to be in the world of pain unless he slowed down but even then it would be unpleasant. Not you lol?
