Wrecka I did an overnighter this time last year .Make sure you got warm gear because it gets bitterly cold from11pm until the sun is up .From ballina south there is a lot of heavy low lying fog areas..the only good thing about the night riding there are no road works and after about 1am the interstaters usually pull up for a sleep .getting fuel at that time of night can also be an issue .I just made sure I topped the tank even if I didn't need it.there are stretches that will test your fuel efficiency

G'day Wrecka ,I am going straight down the Hume Hwy on Thursday all the way to Albury leaving about 6.0am from the Central Coast first stop around Sutton Forest for a Coffee and fuel . We should be able to meet up somewhere along the track unless you leave earlier as the time gets closer and more hopefully join in we can make some arrangements to suit most of the travellers ,Cheers:thumbsup:

Wrecka also if you want to borrow a bigger screen than the fly screen you have I have one here sitting in the garage with all the fittings .it makes a big difference doing a trip of that distance

Hey Pete ,
i'll be giving myself plenty of time mate so the only night riding i will be doing will be just before sunup on the 1st leg , i want to be settled in for the night somewhere with the swag before nightfall , will definately be taking warm clothes , Mum lives in Ballarat and that has got to be one of the coldest places in Vic :)

Sounds like a plan mate , i'll be leaving Sydney early to avoid the traffic i'll givee you my PH number via PM maybe Goulbourn would be a good meeting place ?

Wrecka,

I am travelling through Yass on Thursday morning and will stop there for fuel and coffee, It's a bit over an hour from home and can easily be timed to meet up for the trip down the freeway.

I am probably continuing to Wodonga for the night, but that is not comfirmed yet.

Cheers,
Mal the Kiwi.
