Im usually the biggest bike at the pump. This guy put an end to that. Hwy 81 somewhere in Virginia, he was headed back home to Miami from New Jersey after visiting his kids. I think the Boss Hoss is a super cool bike and would love to have one but only to share the garage with my Rocket.

Well, it has been said that the Rocket will be discontinued soon... so if Triumph is going to just sit there and try selling Thunderbirds as an alternative, there will be a lot of people turning to the Boss Hoss.

People have been saying that for years

I sat on one once at a bike show. 1100 pounds.
Tilting it side to side felt like a boulder balanced on a roller skate.
Scared me just to sit on it.
Can't imagine what it would do to your leg if you dropped it.

Great pic posted up above. Also some great opinions as well. Several folks touched on very salient points. My neighbors Boss weighs 1300lbs. It has fallen on him several times when I rode with him. Anything over 28 degree angle and it is going to go over. It is very top heavy. Stop signs are dangerous. No way could one guy get it back up unless he was a steroid freak. It does have a reverse gear, just like his two Gold Wings (both the 1520's). He is an older retired guy, and he has not rode it lately, but he did tell he has about 25,000 miles on it. I have rode backwoods scenic rides with lots of twisties with him. We didn't set any speed records, but the bike seemed to handle OK at speed. I have never saw him do a burnout or anything like that. He is a very conservative and safe rider too. I think it takes a 300 motorcycle tire. He is not a Darksider with his Gold Wings either. I would imagine the heat generated by that big Boss motor is a major factor. I know the heat from the Rocket motor is hard to deal with on hot days, or stop lights. He bought the bike new in 2008. Told me it cost him $44,000. I was not really into Motorcycles at the time. But no way can a guy sleep through a Chevy 350 being reved up, so the bike got my attention. I was very curious at first. We became friends. He is an ex-Marine with cancer too. He let me ride is '88 Gold Wing. But I would never ride his Boss. I guess I didn't want one of my legs to crumple underneath it.

I've only seen one boss hoss .i was just parking my bike at beaudesert when I noticed thIs huge bike going past .i thought the rocket was big .in Australia we have a similar bike .its called the barbarian .They used to make them just down the road a bit but moved around Sydney some where.they are built around the 350 5.7 litre chevy motor and start at 300 hp.

The guy who rebuilt my bike has a Rocket and a 610 ci, (10 litre) 700 plus rwhp Boss Hoss. Wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it. First time I saw the bike was at a bike festival where there were thousands who turned up. Got a lot of attention when he started it up and gave it a few blips.

Only time I have rode one was at daytona bike week and boy was it a blast the demo run was about 12miles and the lead guy let us open them up, the rocket is fast but nothing compared to the Boss cornering is another story but in wide sweeping roads and straight roads the boss rules the road

They are definitely cool, but not design for the vertically challenged... I would need a step stool to climb up on one.:roll::roll::roll:
What would I do with one anyway? Tow big rigs?
The r3's motor is bigger than both cars in my driveway.
My Roommate and her mom have a Toyota Yaris (1.5L) and a Scion IQ (1.3L). :cautious: Yeah, almost as big as both COMBINED.
