Welcome from Germany (by way of Mississippi)! You've done yourself a true justice in honoring that promise ;) rode mine for nearly four years before the first mod. Then they came fast and furious, and now I'm quite content again. Might I recommend your first investment be a seat (if she's still stock) as you're never gonna want to dismount and those stocks weren't good at all!

TORs aren't a bad option at all, especially if you're not wanting to spend too much. I ran them for about 3 years and found the performance was more than I could ever use and the sound was good too. Some say it's a bit raspy but I thought it was reminiscent of a Jaguar sports exhaust. While there are systems that go and sound better (or rather, deeper), they're generally more expensive. Get a Staintune cat bypass if you can. GIPro with ATRE is also a very good gadget; I've had mine for 4 years. Sits nicely between the gauges.

Well, picked it up this afternoon. Even though it's chucking it down with rain the ride home was glorious. If people could see inside my helmet they would see a grin that goes from ear to ear.
