Looking at the map, I'll just head out by myself the first day and hook up with everyone where ever we decide to stay for the first night. Don't worry Greg, I've ridden all over alot of this state by myself..lol Some options for us to stay the first night at are Plano, TX, Paris, TX or Texarkana, TX? Of course, any other options are welcome as well.

If we go to Plano, we can take Hwy 69 up to OK Hwy 412 and cut over.

If we go to Paris, we can take the boring ass Indian Turnpike (Toll Road) and cut over, or it looks like there are some back highways that go to Hwy 259 and on up.

From Texarkana, we can take AR Hwy 71 almost all the way, which is not a bad ride.

I had even thought about riding over to Shreveport, LA for night one because I have some good friends there. Then taking Highway 71 from Shreveport on up almost to Eureka Springs, but really, I'd like to get a little closer to Eureka Springs on day one.

Just some options. I guess I should go ahead and make my Eureka Springs reservations..

Wait.... has anyone been to New Boston, TX? That lines right up with TX Hwy 8, which goes North in to Arkansas to Hwy 41 which hooks up with AR Hwy 71 in DeQueen,Arkansas. Keeps us off of boring Interstates and still heads almost directly to Eureka Springs? New Boston is also on I-30 and there's a Holiday Inn as well as a Best Western, among others I'm sure? What do y'all think? It's 5 1/2 hours from New Boston to Eureka Springs.

I've been there but it's been years. I would like to meet their, but I was a dumb a__ and booked my room in E.S. for Friday night...I'll see if I can get it changed without taking a $ beating.

Friday night would be correct! If we leave on Thursday, sleep in New Boston, and ride up to ES, you'll be sleeping there Friday. In fact, if we get a good start (7:30AMish start time?) we'll be in ES for lunch on Friday.

I need to cal lmake make my reservations for Fri/Sat nights. I'll need to start heading back Sunday morning.

Sounds good to me. What time would you be leaving on Thursday? Just wondering what time you would be in my neck of the woods?

Greg my self and I think someone else are going to try and link up along the way and meet Sunshine and her group in Texarkana. It's also a good point if anyone from the FL group wants to meet us there. For that matter if anyone coming from FL wants to take HWY 10 into Houston they can meet up with us on Thursday and head to Texarkana with us.

Sounds good Greg. You staying with us Wed. night or getting a room? We can get breakfast Thursday than head out when we want. We can try and hook up with people along the way, it's about 5hrs buy cage give or take so I'm figuring at leat 7 for us since we wont be in a hurry and we might want to see some sights.

Sunshine What time do you all think you are going to land in Texarkana and do you have a hotel in mind you going to stay at?
