Question Muffler Upgrade Kit

I have a 2007 Triumph Rocket III Classic Special - I am interested in acquiring and installing the Muffler Upgrade Kit - other than what is contained in the kit, is there the requirement for any other parts/kits to be installed when the Muffler Upgrade Kit is installed?

Thank you for kind consideration to this inquiry.

Best regards . . .

There are wire mesh gaskets. Those installed with the stock arrangement can be salvaged though you may wish to a set on hand; should the existing gaskets give you troubles with their removal. Otherwise no other parts are necessary for the "silencer upgrade" kit.
BTW, what is a Classic Special? Or is it more correctly a Classic TourER, not to be confused with a '08 TourING?

I used a bit of spray solvent and a dull blade to loosen them and pulled 'em out with needle nose pliers. A stout stack of feeler gage blades might be a usable substitute for the blade. I'd recommend washing the solvent out, with soap and water, before reinstalling them. The fumes may become overwhelming as the solvent heats up and bursts into flames

If you are talking about the cat box eliminator. When I replaced mine, the rubber gaskets that the thing hangs on were in bad shape. I had to jerry rig some replacements. I never did buy new ones. I hope yours are OK.

Likewise, I picked up some replacements at a TrueValue hardware store, I'm sure you can find them at any hardware store that has those bins of odd screws and parts that you put in an envelope and write the price on.

R3 Classic exhaust upgrade

Re Muffler Upgrade.

I have same bike, 2007 R3 Classic, (3 PIPES) Here in Aus they want $875AUD for the pipe upgrade which is just the 3 silencers, but the wire gaskets are included. I found a site in Fort Lauderdale that supplies them for about $540 or $529 ordering on the net.
Try mike@pure-european.com, his name is mike barychko and his number in the US is 954 343 6074, I think unless thats your postcode. Yeh so its cheaper for us "downunder" to purchase our bits from you yanks.

This is highly unfair of course and I think a repeat of the Boston Tea Party is definately in order, what!

You may be confusing TOR silencer upgrade with what is otherwise referred to under the available accessories as a "silencer upgrade kit". The lesser $540 price sounds mighty close to the later and not the former (TORs). The Silencer Upgrade Kit is in fact a cat-box replacement; and it's still over priced at 529.

I don't think he was confusing anything...check out the following limks:
Triumph Rocket III Mufflers Upgrade Kit
Triumph Rocket III accessory mufflers

$529.99 for the slash cut accessory mufflers
$369.00 for the Upgrade kit

TORS Cat-Elim

Got both of mine here off the site, for half the price. They where in excellent shape and ready to rock. Keep an eye on the for sale forum. They come in and go out fast.
Good Luck.
