| | | Chrome K&N oil filter The original K&N oil filters won't fit under the chrome oil filter cover. Looks like K&N has come out with a chrome filter. Looks good but with the location of the oil filter I would be worried about kicking up a rock and puncturing it.

| | | I don't have one right now, but I've run K&N oil filters a couple of times on the Rocket with no problems. |

Brian,
Have you considered making yourself a front fender mudflap to allay your filter puncture fears?
I got the idea from Jack , if I can do it I'm sure you can
Best regards

| | | Tony- Yes that would be a good idea but I am happy with the stock cover and filter. If it was harder to get to I would consider needing a nut on the end but otherwise stock is fine for me.

| | | I was running without the cover. Sure enough, front tire kicked up a chunk of tail light lens and it put a pin hole in the filter. I will run the stock oil filter with the cover from now on.

| | | I installed a black K&N filter on my Rocket and the chrome cover slid fully on with no problem. Bigern
