New TTS Option

TTS is alive and well... Richard reports record monthly sales.

TTS has new pulleys available for the R3 crank and supercharger. The "optional" crank pulley is 140mm in diameter vs the "normal" 100mm crank pulley. This is used in conjunction with a 90mm pulley on the Rotrex blower (replacing the normal 70mm pulley).

The resulting drive ratio spins the blower another 10,000 RPM and produces 1.1 BAR boost at 7000 RPM. Richard estimates the additional boost should be good for another 30-40 RWHP, depending on cams and exhaust.

One drawback... you need to machine an extension for the oil filter to move it forward for crank pulley clearance.

Will this pully setup work with my stock engine with a new tune loaded. Or would I need a new fuel pump and some other engine mods.

I am needing more power now. I am already used to the 230 hp.

Thanks

I know just what you mean.

I would highly recommend the bigger fuel pump... WALBRO 242. The big thing is that we need an "extension" to move the oil filter farther out from the engine block, so the larger crank pulley will clear. If Richard doesn't decide to make one, I may machine one this winter.

Specialized SC cams and an exhaust system sized for the SC R3 will give you 260+ HP. The bigger pulleys (1.1 bar boost) should pump it to 300.

I put the bug in Richard's ear to engineer the oil filter extension. If there are more SC R3 owners that could use a "little more boost"... speak up here. The more demand, the better the chance that TTS will accommodate us.

Pulley

What about using an oil cooler adapter under the oil filter? This would kill 2 birds for you oil cooler/ more pulley space, for me 1 bird oil cooler. I'll check the dimensions on the adapter tomorrow and let you know if it might work.

has anyone cross referenced the r3 oil filter to see what other bikes might use it and see if an oil cooler is standard or an option for that make of bike ?
