Ready To Weld

Primary tube joints ground and matched to within 1/4"... now ready to weld. The bits of tape and wire hold everything in place until it gets tacked.

Measure Twice - Cut Once

Looks like you did your homework on flow, aesthetics and clearance.

How about the finish? Since there's not a lot of chrome, my vote ( If I have one) would be to do a black ceramic coating on the entire exhaust.

What are your thoughts?

I vote black ceramic, although..... leaving it raw may look cool as well.....

its all in how well it blends with the Intercooler... I bet they can match the color of the other metals and still ceramic coat it

I think I need a black radiator now....

I had originally planned on the black ceramic... but the 304 stainless shines up so nice I think I keep it polished stainless.

Lookin' real good, Hombre!

I may just tackle a project like that, myself. Would like to run a true 3-into-3 setup... maybe straight pipes?

A properly designed collector (3 into 1) will give a much wider powerband than any 3 straight pipes. Don't believe me? Give your engine specs to racing exhaust experts like Burns Stainless, and they will crunch the numbers for you at no charge.

Oh, this I know. To my credit, I've built some forty-odd engines for cars and light trucks, and I do know the importance of good exhaust design. But this would be more for presence and attitude... and the challenge, honestly... than performance gain. Seriously, there's bound to be a better way than Triumph's oddly-designed cat delete.

Fantastic work you're doing, in any event!
