First Tire Change BST Wheels

Changed out the first rubber on my BST CF wheels. It's a straightforward job with a Snap-On tire changer... no special techniques or handling necessary. I've got Pirelli Diablos front and rear, and the "ZR" Diablos are lighter and better balanced than ever.

Only 2500 miles out of the rear... so invest in Pirelli & C. S.p.A..

BTW, the CF wheels still look like new... no scratches or dings from my gravel road.

BTW, that's the Pirelli Diablo 150/70 ZR 18 in the photo. Amazingly it only takes 3 days to have it delivered direct from Paddock Network in Italy via FedEx!

What size is that rear Pirelli Diablo? Did you change the size of the rear wheel? Sorry if I missed a thread somewhere that you may have already addressed this.

I run a Pirelli Diablo 240/40 ZR 18 rear. Yes, it fits on the infamous 18" BST CF rear wheel for the R3.

I know that you don't run your Rocket like I do so I understand why you are replacing your tires a lot sooner than I will...but will the Pirelli fit the regular (non BST CF) rim on the Rocket and, in your opinion, how do you think that will wear compared to the OEM, same, better or what?

The stock rear rim is 16", so you cannot mount an 18" tire on it. I understand that the great 16" tire monopoly held by Metzler is about to end... you might check out the soon-to-be release Avon 16" rear tire for the R3.

Sharp looking setup Hombre...this is the first pic I've seen with the Diablo and CF rim...How does the front handle (feel) with the new rim and tire? Notice any difference in the rear?
