| | Well, we don't stand a chance in Hell against the new one which is pushing 200 HP stock and weighs less than the Rocket according to Cycle World, but it would be a pretty good race against the "old" one.. One of my favorite sounding bikes when fitted with aftermarket pipes. Has that V-8 rumble.. |

| | I think it was "Motrocycle Cruiser" that actually timed the two (older VMax). The Rocket was a hair faster. The Max beat it at 200 feet, but the Rocket pulled it out at the end.
As stated, the the new Max will pretty much kill anything on two wheels, which is too bad because I was planning on boasting to all my friends that my R3T would kill anything on the road outside another Rocket. Damn, foiled again!
I guess I can still boast about having the fastest Lazy Boy.

I guess I can still boast about having the fastest Lazy Boy. | Hold on to your horses Daryl the std R3 will give the old VMax a good race the R3T might hold its own up to about 80-90mph then the VMax will leave you. When talking about the Rocket being the fastest-- in the cruiser department it is near if not at the top of the food chain, against a lot of the sports bikes it does not have a chance in hell. I have heard people talk about the Rocket racing Busas, the Busa would leave the Rocket in every stage. When are we going to ride. |

| | | Last month's Cycle World had a comparison between pretty much all of the bikes that will eat the Rocket for lunch, such as the 'Busa, the XZ-14, all of the 1000cc+ sport bikes, etc.
Among cruiser's we're king, but, because of weight and gearing, we don't stand a chance against those bikes above. Even adding a turbo or supercharger will only bring us up to maybe even with most of those bikes.
Hmmm... I wonder about 1/8th mile though.. ?? |

There's no way a stock Rocket would touch my old Ninja. The Ninja weighed 325lbs.
I ride pretty much every weekend. I've been riding alone thus far due to engine break-in (varying my speeds, etc...).

| | Why did the R3 guy keep his right foot down?
Oh, and that looked like a crappy launch from the R3 as well, I don't know about the rest of you but it's not that hard for me to get the front end off the ground from a launch.
I'm not saying the R3 could win but that's the problem with YouTube racing, there's so many variables that factor in, the big one being rider technique and ability.
