Thumbs up Daytona Bike Week Triumph Demos

Wow the line up of Triumph bikes is sweet!!! Triumph is allowing everyone to experience the ride on speed triple and the New touring bike and others. Lots of info even why they reduced the horsepower yet increased the torque....Lots of folks from out of the country...even 5 miles from the Triumph plant from England
..neat folks lots to comment on......

What are they saying about why they reduced the horsepower for torque on the touring - thanks.... [despite living in Central Fla it does not look like I will be able to go over to ask myself]

Hi Steve

Word from the factory teck is that the hosrsepower , where it is
will out strip the tire......so they reduced the horsepower to match the new narrow tire,,,even though the torque is higher..something that I still am not so clear on....

Now looking at the Turing bike with a clean narrow bags and tire look nice,,,,I still like the big tire big hp but thats me...the touring is a nice look..... this week I will find out how nice a ride,,,Hope this helps...

Lots of interested folks asking WHATS THAT????????

The Standard Rocket III will continue for the hot rod types. The Touring model is for a different stroke of folks. For two up riding, there are those who want to have the torque to get up and went; and leave the Hardly Ablesons with a dropped jaw, in their dust. The Touring isn't made to outrun a V-Rod or a M109. Go with a Standard RIII if that's your need. The HP is reached on the RIII way up there (comparitively) and unnecessary for us Tourer/Touring types. If you want HP get a 12k capable crouch rocket and put a blower on it. If you want power (torque) for Touring then get a Rocket III Touring. If you really want to stress out the limits, put a SC on a RIII; but be prepared to dip into the college fund, repeatedly.

Did anyone from Triumph say how they limited the power on them?
