| From their web site, it looks like the Dobeck allows you to modify the fuel pulse under several conditions. How do you maximize performance? Guess? You at least need to check it on a dyno.
Tuneboy gives you access to the parameters that regulate fuel, ignition, secondary throttle plates and other goodies: 1) 3 main fuel tables for TP > 15%; 2) 3 fuel tables for TP <6%, where the regulation is based on manifold pressure; 3) ignition tables for different gears. Most of us with Tuneboy have gotten custom tunes from Tuneboy for our intake/exhaust configs. These come pretty close, but from a performance tuning standpoint, they can't be optimal. If you could find someone to dyno tune directly using Tuneboy, a real performance tuner would ask you where you want your torque and HP and tune it accordingly. Even assuming the shop could use Tuneboy, this would cost a lot more than a PCIII, Dobeck and Tuneboy combined. |
