BST Wheel Inventory

Gary Turner, President of Blackstone Tek, informs me there are only 2 remaining sets of BST CF wheels for the R3 available at the discount pricing. BST is very pleased with the sales results for the R3, and will be doing another production run... so much so that I'm getting CF wheels for my BMW K1200S as a bonus (suck out ozholes).

However, they are very busy producing Ducati and BMW wheels, and it is unknown when this next run will be available. You can also count on a price increase... so if you want CF wheels for your R3, act now!

PLEASE remind me:
1. What's that "discounted" price ex factory including ALL the metal fitments for a '04 vintage Rocket III
2. They are both 18 inchers, are they not?. Is Pirelli still the only tyre option?

Thanks much. Jamie

1) The discount price is $3600 USD, plus $175 USD shipping via Postal Express. This includes the different spacer for your early R3 front axle, but you must specify that when ordering. "Retail" price on the wheels is $4500 USD plus shipping.

2) IMHO, the Pirelli Diablos are the best option for these 18" CF wheels. However, they are not the only option. While there are other "Z" rated tires for the rear, I believe the other options for the front (in correct size) are lower rated tires.

Thank you Sir. Will give it some thought. I might even re-contact via PM, if that's alright with you , as "Palatina" Gregor has not yet installed his (as far as I know) and I am a bit out of touch with my other compatriot, "Flydive" Gabriele , who both indulged in such CF ... er... thrills.

Aye. Jamie

You should drop a note to Gabriele (Flydive)... he will give you his honest evaluation with the Pirelli tires.

I just sent him a public one on the Italian "Che Passione" (What a passion) forum, now (just today!) re-launched with a dedicated Rocket III sub-forum. We both are "Che Passione" members. And Rocket III old-timers.

And to think that he and I, on and off, have been in "virtual" touch since 2004. Jamie.
